I am interested in putting a diesel engine into a PW (WDX/WM300), and have been informed (thanx to Charlie) that a 4 litre I-4 is about as large as would fit into a standard PW. I would much prefer something in the 6 litre range. Guess I'm just greedy. Presumably, the frame would have to lengthened to accomodate a larger I-6 engine, as well as the cowl, hoods, and running boards. Any one ever do this? If you did it, did it work? Am I just fooling myself or just plain nuts?
Any info would be appriciated...(except maybe any cracks about being crazy).
