I have one of each, on my, not quite a farm yet, in West Virginia. I use the M37 in the woods, steep and broken, for whitewater shuttles, ridiculously steep, hauling dense loads like sand and stone, and to go to town, all because it's cool as hell and will go anywhere. I use the Powerwagon to plow snow, haul bulkier loads, and when I figure out a 3-point hitch, to mow and do what a tractor does, and to go to town, all because it's cool as hell and can do anything.

Seriously, there's alot of overlap here. I'm new to these trucks, but here's what I think I've learned. The M37 Is better in broken terrain, narrower and shorter wheel base, with the same drive train and powerplant. It's really a jeep on steroids, and will out perform the PW offroad. The engine is more complicated and troublesome to service, though more rugged. It will afterall swim over it's fenders as a matter of course.

The Powerwagon, on the other hand, has a larger bed and wheel base, with the same drive train and engine, allowing for carrying similar weight and more bulk with greater stability. It's cab is closed, and much more amenable in inclement weather, and the engine simpler and easier to troubleshoot.

While they have similar capabilities, the Powerwagon seems better suited to hauling and fieldwork, and the M37 to work in the woodlot, like logging, and backwoods activity.

Hope this helps

MM
