The thing that is confusing people is the name Power Wagon...as everyone has observed
it is not a Power Wagon at all. It does indeed look like a pickup for a yuppie with
lots of disposable cash. I also agree that with this sort of market target, the diesel
engine looks silly...the V-10 would be a much better choice for this sort of truck.

What we all want, but probably won't get, is a real Power Wagon. When Ford introduced
their SuperDuty trucks, I thought there was a chance Dodge would do a similar thing
and introduce a real Power Wagon intended for work. The "work" market is probably
smaller and is price-sensitive...whereas the target market looks like it makes a lot
more business sense.

I'd have thought they could take the current truck, put on some more rugged fenders,
maybe build it to 1 ton specs but with single wheels that would be bigger than the
current ones. Finally, it could be provided with PTOs and heavier bumpers, crew cabs
etc to support the many power devices that contractors, farmers, power companies etc
like to use. This in effect would a be a "Power Wagon" of sorts built from mostly
available components. You might hope for this...but I don't think we will ever see
a real Power Wagon again.
