They evidently, for some reason, picked the 1250 lb. 2200 rpm 3126 engine, instead of the 1075 lb 2600 rpm 3116. Which is a mere 6.6L, capable of a puny 650-700 ft-lb, instead of 850 ft-lb. Either one is a nightmare as far as engineering drivetrain components that will take the torque into a pickup; a 1250 lb motor is a bit on the heavy side (Power Strokes and B series Cummins weigh ~950 lb, big block V8s about 650-700, small blocks 500-550). I don't know why anyone would want a 1250 lb. 780 ft-lb motor when they could have a motor 200 lbs lighter that still puts out an axle-breaking, gear-shredding, driveshaft-twisting, transfer case-exploding, transmission-destroying, clutch-slipping 650 ft-lb. There has to be some real changes in powertrains to adequately harness this torque.
