I'm not complaining about price gouging from the suppliers - haven't looked at the price lately, but recall that they were (relatively) pricey 10 yrs ago when I *first* priced them. (Last time I spoke to VPW, they had the headliners but no boxes to ship them (and shipping co regs made the boxes pretty dear to boot.)
I *am* advocating using local - traditional if you will - artisians to repair the vehicle in the manner it originally would have been. I fear that the local repair shops (the carb rebuild shop, the generator repair shop, the radiator shop, the speedometer shop) are in much more danger of extinction than the businesses that support the restoration hobby market.
