I travel light....hydraulic jack, High lift, Come along, complete toolbag, spare ignitions parts (rotor, cap, condensor, points, several plugs, spare coil), boxed elec. fuel pump, voltage regulator, 2 spare engine mount pads, 1 or 2 full-size tires, starting fluid or carb cleaner, 2 tow straps, sleeping bags, towels, cold weather/raingear (in winter), 5 gallons of gas, 5 gallons of water (10 in summer), disinfectant soap, MRE's or canned foods & opener, first aid kit, flashlights (plural), matches, maps of the area, a compass, some sort of reflector, LHRP shovel, splitting maul, 4' digging bar, jumper cables (& sometimes very light welding rod for battery powered welding), regular pry bar, claw hammer, lathing hatchet, pulaski, several qt's of 40 wt' oil (dual purpose), brake fluid, an ammo-box sized bin of nuts bolts, bailing wire, electrical wire in various gauges, & wire connectors and crimpers, clamp rings, etc., extra belts, tire inflator of some type (can or pump) Tire patch kit, shelter 1/2's, mosquito netting, 50 meters of climbing rope, 50' of light utility rope, tie down straps, seat harnesses and hardware, two snatchblocks, hats, gloves (work and warm), 2-4x4 wood block for jacking, firewood, or tire chain installation, tirechains (even in summer for mud) sometimes land anchors and up to 400' of extender cable for my winch, depending on where I'm going. In summer add sunscreen and bug juice. As you can tell, I am great to have along on trail rides and I don't have to walk out often (Once is 30 years, VERY early on). Out here that can be fatal in summer or winter as temps range from 15º to 115º
