The early 318 should bolt right in with the mounts that match that particular frame pad. The mechanical linkage I believe just bolts to the frame rail and the side of the bellhousing so that too should be no problem. There's a lot to be said for the hydraulic linkage though, as they don't bind under heavy loading nor rattle loose, nor wear out at the pivots
