From a former Army Recruiter, Career Counselor and retired Master Sergeant. I wish you well and admire what you have taken upon yourself. One word of advice if I may, don't believe the naysayers about not volunteering for schools and tasks. The only way to get ahead is to always strive to do your best and sign up for virtually every school that comes along. It will pay off ten fold when it comes time for promotion and assignments in the future. I would also add that in todays military it's generally unwise to make a career out of it unless you really love what you're doing. The pay and benefits in civilian life far outweigh what the military offers upon retirement. Been there, done that, no regrets. Again thank you for your impending service to our country and best of luck in your new life.
