I here that transmission is not real good. I have talked to half dozen or so 89-93 cummins 5-speed owners and all have had trans trouble at 70 90k miles-cost to repair averaged $2400. But forgeting the transmission, I think you will regret not holding out for the extended cab. Thanks, Lyman.
