Todd;
Be careful in limiting yourself with a small welder because your think your only going to push .023 wire on sheet metal. I have been pushing .023 wire since November 24 on My Carryall. Last night we got 25 inches of snow, and today while plowing with my Bombardier, part of the plow frame broke at an old original weld. If I only had a small ,023 machine I would have been doomed.
I have a Miller 251, so I changed the cable/gun, wire feed rollers and was welding
.500" steel. The small welders may have very short duty cycles where you will have to stop and let them cool. I have pushed a lot of .023 wire since November 24, I run at 100% duty cycle, meaning I can weld 100% of the time and never have to let it cool. The fans never come on. I would suggest nothing less than a 175 amp Miller or Lincoln.

Check out www.brwelder.com they are in Maryland and have some super prices and even some monthly specials. They even give free shipping to your door. Not bad on a heavy welder.

You will never regret buying a little larger than your present plans call for. To have to sell it later as used and buy larger will be a big loss.

Just my thoughts.....

Paul
