The last time I looked, most people use ebay to recieve the highest bid by placing the item before the largest number of people available. Capitalism at work. I wish he got twice that amount because it might convince him to stay in the business of keeping parts for PW's available for all of us that don't have the space or time to keep an inventory of old parts.
It is obviously worth that much to somebody. Now Doug has to find out if it was a phony bidder or not and go through the conformation and shipping hassles for this rare piece.
Heck, if I had a flat-fender and a couple of million in the bank, I would have bought it myself for that amount. I would have given me a conversation topic at the country club.
