I thought 78 79 only had the 203 fulltime transfercase, it should have had a 205 with locking hubs, sounds like somebody been fooling with it thats for sure, wish you could peek for 44 or60 on casting or count number of bolt holes on the cover of the rear ends, Norm, will the 5 and 6 bolt lug axles interchange in the 44 ?The kit should only be for the 203 and then you have to change out the hubs so the front diff can be run unlocked, 203 could be run with the kit but the front diff will still be turning together but not under power, it cannot freewheel unless warn hubs installed and hubs that accept them. Maybe they are jeep axles from a cherokee? Think they have 44,s and 6 lugs?
