In just the "sitting on the tailgate" article, (I just got it, I think the USPS drives my copy of the PWA from Norway, IA, to WA in a old flatfender, either that or Gordon has a really sick sense of humor, probably both.) I have felt inspired to tear apart a 413ci motor I have been saving for a rainy day repower. It's about the only thing that can fit in my shop that I can work on right now, and it's damn cold outside it be sitting under the swivel frame, putting that mess back together correctly.
My question is, since the 413 has hudraulic lifters, is it crucial that the pushrods go back in the same order and place as they came out, as is nessicary on adj. valve types? If so what is the knuckledragging, cave dwelling, fireman, proof way of keeping them in order, even if you live directly over the fault line of the continental plates?
Thanks
