The cast mounts that bolt to the frame rails are mirror images of each other. The cast mounts that mount under the axle housing with the springs u-bolts are not exactly mirror images of each other. The passenger side mount is offset further to allow the shock to clear the third member. If you look at your truck from the rear, the driver side shock will appear to be vertical (as viewed from the rear, not the side) and the passenger side shock will angle out towards the tire at the bottom.

There are some heater pictures in Joe's photo area above. The early trucks, at least, did not come from the factory with heaters. These were dealer installed MoPar units, or whatever other brands the dealer happened to have access to and made available to the customer.
