Something else is wrong.
-Make sure you have oil in the steering box,
-Are the drag link sockets adjusted properly, not too tight?,
-If the steering wheel progressively gets harder to turn as you turn the wheel, I would say the screw that adjusts the steering gear shaft is not properly adjusted and should be checked.
Make sure the front wheels are off the ground and don't force your steering wheel when turning the tires. With everthing properly adjusted you should be able to turn the wheel fairly easy
