That will work,..depending upon the gear ratio. Dana had a "split" it was 3:73 or there abouts, that the size of the ring gear required a different carrier. (it will hit the case without extreme shiming, which is bad!) IF the ratios are the same in both units it should be a straight bolt in deal, JUST check your pinion gear to be sure that it is the same pitch/tooth count.
