Something is amiss. I was reading your Ebay registration audit trail and decided to test it since I registered in '98 and didn't remember supplying a credit card then. I loaded www.ebay.com and followed the registration instructions and registered my wife for bidding, not selling, (might regret it later). The whole proces took about 3 minutes and I was never prompted for any credit card info. Try it again and keep it simple :) I'd hate to see you miss out on one of those powder coating ovens!
