76 W200 w/ 5.7 ltre Hemi???

I really like the new Hemi, but don't like the new trucks. I think they are too plasticky and junky (no offense, just a personal preference to chrome). I've been tossing around the idea of bolting in a rebuilt 440 w/a supercharger. But on the other hand I could wait for some idiot to wreck their new truck, and buy the engine and get the reliability of fuel injection. The chassis is bulletproof on my truck, very low maintenance. However the engine is a different story (400 w/a Carter carb) runs good, but always changing gaskets, and adjusting the carb, just plain not enough power in either HP or Torque categories. Besides it would pass emissions flawlessly even without a cat...

What do you guys think?
