Well I finally realized why PW rust out so easily. I was working on a windshield frame today and the original black paint on the inside of the cover that goes over the divider, just sraped off to bare metal like there wasn't much of a bond. It looked like there was no primer, just black paint, bad! I also was working on a door that appeared to have the original paint on it, and it too flaked off in spots like it had poor adhesion. All these parts looked like they came off civi stuff. The military vehicles I've worked on have great adhesion, and zinc chromate primer, Probably lead in the paint too. Why do you suppose Dodge did such a lousy job on the paint on these trucks?
