The rear mounted winch is on my homemade '87 Cummins Turbo Diesel. I also have a Warn 8274 winch on the front of the same truck. On my old '49 Power Wagon, I bolted a piece of heavy channel iron below the front bumperettes and mounted a hitch ball on the channel iron. Then I could use the MU-2 winch on the Power Wagon to pull loads onto my flatbed trailer - worked great.
