Thought about it, but after tightening everything down, I think I could jack up the front end with it. I had thought to add a bracket to the frame, but then I'd have to weight possible flex of the frame/transmission mount area that the brake back end bolts onto.
Seems to be absolutely fine. The thickness of the welded end plates prevents much flexing, as they are around 1/2 thick.
