If you break off a tap in the process of tapping something, you usually can't drill it because it is too hard, but you can drive a hard punch in there and break it up and it will fall out, I never tried it with an easy out though, I don't care for them cause they never work for me, I just drill and re tap. As long as the drill size is about the tap size and you drill in the center of the bolt it usually works. My 02 good luck
