Hi Paul,
American has a short attention span. After WWI we disarmed, after WWII we disarmed, after Korea we disarmed, after Vietnam we disarmed, after the Cold War we disarmed. We can no longer bury our heads in the sand, or our heads will be handed to us. Most have already forgotten 9-11 or the fact that we are at war as we speak. A different type of war, but one that threatens our very survival. Make no mistake, Islam has wanted to control the world since day one, 1800 years ago, yes not all Muslims are extremist, but there are millions who are. They detest out way of life and conversion by the sword is their mode of operations. This is not a western style political debate and I am afraid more will have to die before we "get it".
