Well I just pulled a 5,000 lb load 50 miles with it no problems 65 mph and up a 5 mile long very steep grade, it dose have elect brakes on the trailer. The truck is a full size 5,280 chev truck with 4X4 1/2 ton but with aftermarket springs, Gas extra heavy duty off road stiff shocks, 12,000lb rated hitch, 400 turbo with built 350 in it. I only have to pull it 45 miles to get it home, in a rural area. There is no bed on the truck. I can go get the extra parts on a second trip. What I need to know is the weight of the truck. I have pulled 3 ton of hay with it(6,000lbs). A ton in the bed also with no problems on the springs. It has a large trans cooler and Load E tires? I know it isn't a Dodge pulling it but it is a good old Chevy not stock wanting to bring home a Dodge. Mark H.
