XL verses XZL

considering a set of 9.00x16 xl or xzl.Which rides better,quieter, wears better.I drive more in the snow than in mud or sand,so which would be better in the snow?Would they be better than 35"BFG allterrains in the snow? Thanks for any feedback,as this will help me in making the right purchase,especially since it's a good chunk of change. Dave
