Presently, I have removed the entire lower left side of my Carryall, including the inner sheet metal. To my surprise, all the hidden sheetmetal was not coated (protected).
There is heavy surface rust everywhere between the inner and outter skin. Also heavy surface rust on unprotected surfaces inside the door post. Without attention given, these are areas that will haunt you later. Your new paint job, may develope rust holes in the future.

I am not much on the miricle products for rust, However, I believe this is a good place for POR or equal product. The only way to get some of these areas would be thru a long sprayer wand like a garden sprayer. I will probably push it out side and saturate all the hidden surfaces with POR or equivelent. It will be a mess and a lot of waste, but I see no other way.

Just my .02 cents on what I found after opening it up like a Christmas Turkey.

Paul
