Over the last 35 years I have got new titles on many vehicles in Ohio, New york, and Texas. I don't recall anyone ever looking for any SN confirmation other than the VIN tag. As long as that tag number is a match with your title, I don't think you would have a problem in most states.
On the two Power Giants I bought this summer, the title clerk did not even ask to look at the vin tag. All I needed was the signed title. I was surprised,I thought they would want to look at the out-o-state trucks plate for sure. I would say, don't mention the other frame number. Less said the better and I doubt that a title clerk would know where to find a frame number anyway.
