My truck starts hard, as it does not hold prime very well, and it HATES the cold.

Current injection timing is at factory settings, about 6. After I got it, I had it timed, and the same guy tightened up all the boost hoses, got a lot more power out of that!

I hear good things about what you had done, as well as changing the injectors.

Next time I have some spare cash the motor will be gone over, but as I am often loaded 5,000 lbs more then you, I doubt I will get as good of a performance.

I am running the 92-93 Sachs clutch with the cast iron pressure plate, it works MUCH better then that stamped thing.

The other reason I drop to 4th is that I have been told that the reason people blow 5th gear off is letting the motor get below 2,000 RPM in 5th. So when I get to 2,000 RPM in 5th, I drop a gear. This means at 60-65 I am in 4th all the time. The current tranny in this truck has almost 100,000 miles on it, and I do not want to drop 5th gear off the back!
