There are many many problems getting a Swedish vehicle to North America. Customs is not a problem...parts are definitely not a problem. The problem is trusting people in a foreign country with large amounts of your money & trusting that they will send you a vehicle that resembles the one they have described to you.....or sending one at all!
Shipping is a nightmare & forget about the Ro-Ro ferry unless you're prepared to have thousands of dollars worth of rare parts stolen enroute.
This is risky business & now that I've seen how it works...I'd sooner pay the price & buy one here that I can go look at & drive before I fork out the bucks.
Just my experience anyway.
