Sorry I didn't read this sooner, 16 ga. is correct.
FYI; other manufactures used 20 ga. and thinner, modern vehicles are even thinner yet. (the smaller the number such as 8 & 10 ga. the heavier or thicker the metal, metal buildings are from 22 ga. to 26 ga., Marty's ferd is about 28 ga. ha!ha!)
