Hey,
When I got home last night, I didn't even lift the hood, the truck fired right up first try... So I cleaned all my grounds nothing significant enough to make the truck not start.
I started crawling around under the dashboard, and discovered, the the PO had spliced the 12V wire leading to the starter solenoid, and over the years and through the black electrical tape the connection had begun corroding. It was pretty decent guage wire I would say like 10 or 8. and there were only about 2 copper strands holding the connection together, not to mention it was green. So no wonder the dumb thing wouldn't start.
However getting the black tape off and making enough room to get down there and cut and splice the wire was a completely different ordeal altogether. I'm glad I don't own a new car!!
