I didn't see where you may have replaced the condensor in the distributor, they can be very erratic when bad. You may also have a wire that is broken inside of the insulation so it makes contact occasionally, causing a hit and miss type operation. If you can get your vehicle running, try gently moving or shaking the wires to and from the ignition switch and to and from the coil. If it cuts out from shaking the wires, you could have narrowed down your search.
