This story does not compute, sounds like the other one where the lawyer ate the title. When you sell a truck you normally get paid, transfer the title at that time, then the shipping and the stolen truck is the responsiblitiy of the buyer, aka the owner, why is he not complaining on the forum about the loss of his truck instead of you? If i was trading trucks i would learn the law, you can now be sued if truck is stolen and crashed if the title is in your name, your insurance comapany will drop your defense if then learn you did not transfer the title according to the law in the state the transaction occured, what am i missing, i am very sorry your truck got kited but really, that is why you transfer title and pay those taxes and buy tags, it makes the chain of ownership traceable, please explain where money/title transfer took place, does not make sense to me? What registration was on truck when you sold it, how do you report the vin etc when you donot have the title license plates etc? Maybe it some kind of deal where money traded hands on delivery of truck? Did you trade trucks at the same time or something, why dont you run picture on all the 4x4 forums?
