I usually only pump the gas twice and choke mine in the morning. Truck fires first time every time whether it's artic temps or just plain cold!

So you may want to check accelerator pump. Time and fuel dries them out, on my Carter AFB it's made out of leather, to replace you'll have to buy a strip kit and it comes with everything to rebuild the carb.

Does the truck burn lean?? If so then you may want to give it some more fuel by adjusting the Idle mixture screws(small 1/4 turns on the screws are best) you'll hear a difference in the engine when it is running. I learned this, and I had a hell of a time making my truck start, when I had the mixture too lean.
