There is a fellow in Vancouver who has done it & I have considered it as well.
It is fairly difficult unless you are an experienced metal fabricator & depending on how picky you are. There is a local guy who is capable of doing this task in such a manner that you would not know that it wasn't done from new, but he wants $6000 US to do it. It requires fabricating a new roof, roof supports, floor & filler panel between the front & rear doors. Roughly 1 months work for an experienced guy.
I haven't seen the one that's been done here but I'm told he's installed a cummins 6cyl in it & it has michelin 1100 X 16's on it.
