the load range is an index of the chamber strength of the tire
at 65 psi or so a load range D and E tire have the same load capacity
a load range E has a max of about 85 psi or so and it will carry a greater load at the higher air pressure
the wheels must also have the capacity for the higher air pressure
not rocket science - in the manuals
