I think that's an unfair comment. I buy & sell on Ebay to this day & have had very few disappointments. The whole key with Ebay is to open a dialogue via Email with the seller...if he doesn't respond..don't bid. Best to invest a telephone call before bidding on something valuable. Never rely on a photograph, & never bid if they don't post a photograph. Ebay works as well as the buyer allows it to work & unexperienced or unintelligent people will always get burned. Certainly there's more junk on Ebay than treasures but I'd hazard a guess that you'd find a better Power Wagon on Ebay than you'd find in your local paper almost all of the time.
PS...I don't know Mark & haven't talked to him, but I'd be very surprised if the bidding on his beautiful WDX didn't go over $20,000, & I'd be sick if he sold it for less than that.
