Sorry, Todd. Your hypothetical and logic is as usual flawed.
You paid(hypothetically, of course since it is over $500) $3000 for it. You were the one who set the scale when you took the $3000 offer, no one made you. Simple, supply and demand. Problem is, you think it is worth $5000, may be to you but maybe not to any other buyer. Therefore you have hosed yourself. Heck, maybe its worth more.
