He really should have given you a ball-park price before he accepted the work. Especially if it was a "take your time" job. Did he say what he charges per hour? Lets see - at $30 per hour, thats 20 hours.

Its the same with chroming. The guy told me it would be a LOT cheaper to just buy NOS parts than to try and rechrome these old parts and fill in the pits.
He was right. Cost me $120 for two taillight rings. Before I took the piece to the shop, I was expecting about $35. But at least he warned me. Guess everyone else is making their money easier than me.

Got a young couple with two kids that just moved in across the street. After buying the house (not cheap) she anounced that they are moving out in a month so the contracter can build a second story on the house. Meanwhile I a trying to scrape enough money up to replace a froze-up old garbage disposal. I just wonder where people get all the money.
