Dave-

Thanks for the encouragement. I see that I managed to start a thread here that got somebody going in a different direction. I don't want to be a troublemaker.

For anybody who doesn't know, Dave and I hang out at www.binderbulletin.org with a lot of other folks who own old American iron. We race farm equipment. IH pickups and travelalls have a lot in common with the old dodges. That site seems to have a similar type of membership. I believe it's because of the type of folks who are appreciative of things that were the best in their day, and aren't impressed as much by fluff. I don't know how to express how glad I am to see another, similar group of folks.

I appreciate the advice I got off the board via e-mail. I am aware of some of the sources for these wheels, but stockton wants over 300 bucks each for them. Not going to pay 1500 bucks for a set of rims on a truck if I don't have to. Diamond wants about half that. I will keep looking. If and when we can get the wheels down to a reasonable price, I will either buy them or make them. I take my 60s pickups and travelalls on the trail, and the only thing that keeps me from the gnarlier trails is the tires beating me to death. Lowering the air pressure would probably add years to the life of my back.

Keep that old iron moving. Some people can understand why you do it, and most can't. Their problem.

I'm going to try to link a pic of my 1960 B120 (IH talk for 3/4 ton) travelall. It came originally with a 266 (changed to a 304) V8, Borg Warner T98 4 speed, NP202 transfer case, Dana 44 front, IH made RA10 rear axle (think half way between D60 and D70 full floater) and the rig in the pic is about 8 feet to the top of the roof. It won the ugliest truck competition at Rendezvous this year. As you can see, this thing is a close cousin to the rigs you folks own.
