Trailering question??

I would appreciate any comments on this questin. I apologize for it being somewhat off PW topic, but the answers might help someone else.
I am going to tow my son's '71 Bronco about 700 miles on a car trailer. I have the option of towing behind my 2000 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab (see, it is Dodge related) or my '66 F350 which is fully restored and road worthy (although not as comfortable). My question is: Is there a safe ratio to consider between the towing vehicle and the trailered vehicle. Is the Dakota a heavey enough vehicle to be pulling the trailer with the Bronco, or am I better off buying more gas and using the F350? Thanks in advance for any comments. Jerry Henry
