I would restore the swivel back to stock.
Has the question been raised yet as to if the swivel would handle a v8 in terms of power and handling? I am sure the swivel mechanism wouldnt just break in 2 with the power of a v8 but what about stress over a period of time having 3-4 times the power put through it in serious tilts and inclines. What about added stress to other angles of other parts on the truck with v8 power nand being in a swiveled situation?!?!
