Yes the steering wheels in the FF PW are a pain to remove. The best way I have found to remove one is to get a large bearing splitter at the local rental shop. I first loosen the center not but do not remove it. I then put the splitter on the back side of the steering wheel and adjust it down so it is slightly larger than the outer tube of the shaft. I then pull it up against the inner hub of the steering wheel so that it contacts the inner most part of the hub. I then assemble the rest of the splitter with the threaded rod and the cross bar and the center rod. I place a large nut on top of the steering shaft to protect the shaft. I then slowly tighten the center threaded rod and the wheel will pop loose. Continue to check that you are not damaging the end of the shaft as you tighten.
