I believe the divorced mounted transfer cases have a different tranny than normal. Your truck needs one with a short tail shaft and a yoke on the back. I've only seen these on other 4 wheel drives. My tranny is doing the same thing. luckily I found a replacement in a scrap yard for 150$.
