Never did it, but I toyed w/ the idea. Biggest drawback is the M bed is a lot shorter. My plan was to mount the spare tire between the cab and the bed and a fuel can(both parallel to the back of the cab). I'm such a slow worker that now I have sold the truck and the bed so I never got to try it:-)
