The first Dodge WC 1/2 ton I got had an early 30s cab w/ suicide
doors. I've had a half dozen with added cabs since.
It seems that especially in cold climates cabs were added. It was the most logical to add a Dodge cab simply because they fit.
When you run into a military 1/2 ton cab you will find: no wing vents, no crank out mechanism on the dash for the windshield (there will be a dimple there where it would have been), you will find: a
metal rim on the door windows, a windshield that opens by pushing it open having slotted support arms
on each side with Knurled Knob set screws, there will be 4 threaded holes
in the back (out side) of the cab around the rear window to accomodate a screen window guard.
The hard cab WC didn't come with a winch. The early surplus users didn't make it easy for us later. Good luck Lyle
