My 51 dodge 1 ton has a 230. It does not have the original 3 speed on the column transmission. It has a 3 speed in the floor transmission. The rear end gearing I'm not sure about. My question is... what options are there for transmissions and gearing for a 4 bolt 230 flat head. I want pulling power and on todays roads a little more top end speed might be nice. Is there anything out there that has a bulldog gear and four other forward speeds or am I placing modern technology on vintage equipment. If anyone can help or knows where some are available, much appreciated..
