Alan - if I'm not mistaken I believe the 'P2' indicates Plymouth. That would lead me to belive you have a Plymouth block. That doesn't mean that the crank and rods aren't Dodge. They are interchangeable. Could be that someone had a good Plymouth block and turned it into a Dodge 230CI. The original Plymouth would probably have been a 218CI. The civilian engine color isn't really indicative of much as Chrysler Corp. usually used silver on their civilian blocks. I'm not an expert on this as it comes from the old memory bank. Hope it helps some.
