I have advertising literature showing dodge power wagon(s) fitted with Fairmont Hi-Rail gear/wheels (small railroad wheels that raise and lower, allowing the vehicle to operate on or off railroad tracks. The steel wheels guide only, the vehicle rubber wheels carry weight and provide traction).
Anyone know of any of these trucks actually used by railroads?
