My view exactly!T-models were daily drivers for traveling salesmen!But,no,your heavy bodied firetruck is probibly not suited as is,for everyday driving.Trade it for a nice PU body WM300 from the 60's,they have the industrial 251,syncro-420 trans.I used my 1st 64'WM300 as a daily driver for a couple of yrs,no problem!Gas mileage was 10mpg in town and at 50mph.16mpg at 46mph and below.Both increased afew mpg after I installed locking hubs.Personally I'd sell the firetruck bed and buy or trade for a PU bed and syn-420 trans out of a later PW.NOTE: A MAINTENENCE CHECK BEFORE PREFLIGHT IS RECOMMENDED FOR everyday drivers
